Geneva Hospitality’s Tips to Make Your Hotel Experience go as Smooth as Possible
1. Do your research. The more you know about what a hotel offers and surrounding amenities, the easier it will be to find the hotel that is right for you.
2. If booking your hotel online, be sure to have a copy of your confirmation and receipt. A number of things can go wrong when booking a hotel online, but having these things can come in handy if there is a mishap.
3. If you have any special requests you need met, let the hotel know ahead of time. That way they will have a better chance of being able to meet them.
4. If you are traveling for business and will be working from your room, ask for a room that is away from the more populated areas such as the lobby, pool, or dining area.
5. When checking into your hotel, ask about any additional fees you should expect when you check out such as hotel fees, housekeeping fees, etc. That way you won’t be surprised when your bill comes.
6. Upon arriving in your room, you should become familiar with the safety precautions in case of an emergency, including locating the nearest elevators, stairwells, and exits.
7. If traveling with children, be sure to accompany them at all times in the hotel’s public areas. With the size of resorts growing, it’s easy for children to become lost and unable to find their way back to their room.

Geneva Hospitality's Mike Ditka Resorts Walks to Empower!
Join Mike Ditka Resorts this Mother’s Day as we ‘Walk to Empower’ during Chicago’s breast cancer walk. The walk will take place in Grant Park at Butler Field on May 9th, 2010. Check in for the walk is at 6:30 a.m. with a start time of 8:00 a.m. Participants can partake in either the 1 mile walk, 3 mile walk, or United 5K run.This year will mark that 19th year that the Breast Cancer Network of Strength’s Walk to Empower has been promoting its mission to ensure that through information, empowerment, and peer support that no woman will ever have to face breast cancer alone.

Mike Ditka Resorts Golf Outing was a Hole in One!
Last week was the Mike Ditka Resorts Golf Outing and reception, which raised money for the GridIron Greats. The GridIron Greats is a non-profit organization that provides financial assistance, social services and medical care to retired NFL players in dire need. The organization focuses on the humanitarian side of post-football related issues, providing hands-on assistance to help retired players deal with hardships they may face after football.
Former Superbowl Winning Coach Mike Ditka participated in the golf outing and reception. Coach Ditka enjoyed spending the day with fellow supporters of this cause. This event was great fun for all those who attend and was a big success. Mike Ditka Resorts is looking forward to hosting the event again next year!

Mike Ditka’s Runaway Beach Club Resort is the recipient of Orbitz’s “Best in Family Stay” Award for the Walt Disney World area. It is located in the heart of the Orlando attractions area and is just 20 minutes from the Austin Tindal football fields where the Championship games took place.
Coach Ditka jumped at the chance to be one of AYF’s role models at this year’s championship games, offering support and motivation to its young participants. He was available for autographs and photos with his resort guests and young athletes. “These kids should all feel like champions,” said the Coach. “They hold the promise of our future and I want them to know it! I want them to remember to work hard, stay focused, and not let anything get in the way of their dreams and goals.”Ditka personally visited the football fields throughout the day to interact with these young athletes and influence good sportsmanship and the importance of teamwork in a competitive setting. Later that evening, Mike Ditka’s Runaway Beach Club Resort hosted the “AYF Hall of Fame Awards” ceremony. The evening honored those who have donated more than 20 years of their time to coaching youth football across the nation. During the ceremony, Joe Galat, President of AYF, and Coach Ditka spoke and presented awards to this year’s Hall of Fame recipients.
